01
1957

A house begins

Khadim Hussain Sheikh opens Ruby in Lahore with a jeweller’s eye, a personal welcome and a belief that beauty should never be separated from integrity.

02
1960s

Trust becomes the signature

The first decade is shaped across the counter: stones considered slowly, bridal jewels discussed with families, and advice remembered long after the occasion itself.

03
1970s–80s

Jewellery enters family history

Ruby becomes part of the rhythm of celebration in Lahore. A jewel chosen for one ceremony returns years later with another generation and another story.

04
1990s–2000s

The eye of the house evolves

Changing lives bring new proportions, new ways of wearing and a broader visual world. The house moves forward without abandoning the judgement on which trust was built.

05
A new generation

Heritage becomes a living practice

Inherited knowledge meets contemporary design, international references and a more individual idea of luxury—while every important conversation remains personal.

06
Today

Lahore, carried forward

Ruby creates gemstone signatures, ceremonial jewels and private commissions with a distinct local soul: made for the present, and considered for the lives that follow.
