Agreement and who we are
These terms are between you and Ruby Jewellers, Lahore ("Ruby Jewellers", "the house", "we", "us"), a jeweller established in 1957 with houses at The Galleria, 26-Z Commercial Zone, Phase 3, DHA, Lahore 54797, and on Maclagan Road, Lahore.
By using this website or placing a custom order with Ruby Jewellers, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy notice. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Punjab Consumer Protection Act 2005 or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
What this website is for
This website is for discovering the collections, reading about the house, making an enquiry, beginning a commission and requesting a private appointment. All sales and custom order completions take place in store. Nothing is sold or paid for online.
No account is needed to use the website. Information on it is offered for general guidance and does not form a contract until the house confirms an order in writing.
Using the website properly
Please use the website lawfully and for its intended purpose. You must not copy or scrape its content, images or product information by automated means; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its server or the house's systems, or interfere with their security or operation; send false, abusive or unlawful material through its forms, or use the forms to send spam or impersonate someone else; or use the website in any way that breaks Pakistani law, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016.
We may block access, remove submissions or report misuse to the authorities where we consider it necessary.
Pieces, photography and descriptions
We take care to photograph and describe each piece faithfully, but screen colour, lighting, scale and photography can differ from seeing a jewel in person. Hand-made pieces and natural stones vary, and no two are exactly alike.
Gemstone treatments are disclosed where they are known to the house. Laboratory reports are provided only where a report is supplied with a particular stone or piece. Weights, karat and specifications shown online are a guide; the figures that apply are confirmed at the counter and recorded on your invoice or order confirmation.
Availability
The pieces shown on this website are also shown in our houses and may be sold in store at any time. Showing a piece online, or saving it to your Private selection, is not a reservation. Availability is confirmed directly by the house, and a piece is held only when the house has agreed to hold it.
Prices and gold rates
Prices are not published on this website and are given on request. Prices quoted in person, by phone or on WhatsApp are estimates based on the gold rate of the day and may change until a final written order confirmation is issued and the deposit is paid. All prices are in Pakistani rupees.
GST is applied to making charges in accordance with Pakistani tax regulations. The final price, its components and any tax are set out on your order confirmation or invoice.
Custom orders
A commission request sent through this website does not confirm an order. An order is confirmed only after a consultation in store or by phone that settles the design, a written or WhatsApp confirmation from Ruby Jewellers, and the advance payment or deposit agreed with the house before production begins.
Where the house prepares sketches or CAD models, production begins only after you approve them. Any timeline we give is an estimate, because stone sourcing, complexity and fittings affect timing. Changes requested after approval may change the price and the time needed, and will be confirmed with you before they are made.
Please inspect your piece at handover and raise any concern then. If a finished piece is not collected, the house will give you notice to collect it; if it remains uncollected after a reasonable notice period, the house may deal with it as set out in your written order confirmation.
Deposits and cancellation
Deposits on bespoke work are applied to the materials and making of your piece, often from the moment production begins. For that reason, whether any part of a deposit is refundable on cancellation, and how much, is as set out in your written order confirmation. Please read it before paying, and ask the house if anything is unclear.
Returns, exchange and buy-back
Returns, exchanges and buy-back of jewellery bought from Ruby Jewellers are governed by the terms printed on your invoice and the house policy current at the time of sale. Please keep your invoice, and ask at either house for the policy that applies to your piece.
Repairs and care
Jewellery left with the house for cleaning, repair or renewal is first inspected, and its condition is noted with you when you leave it. Some faults, such as worn settings or weakened metal, may only become visible once work begins; we will contact you before carrying out work beyond what was agreed.
The house takes proper care of every piece in its keeping. Please collect your piece when we tell you it is ready, and bring the receipt. Pieces not collected after notice are handled as set out on your receipt or as the house advises.
Appointments and communications
An appointment request made through this website is a request only. It is confirmed when the house contacts you to confirm a time. If you need to change or cancel, please let us know as early as you can by telephone or WhatsApp.
When you contact us, we may reply by WhatsApp, telephone, SMS or email, using the details you give. Order details, quotes and confirmations agreed on WhatsApp or by email form part of the written record of your order. News from the house is sent only with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Payment safety and fraud
Ruby Jewellers will never ask you to pay through a link, or into an account you have not confirmed with the house. Payments are made in store or to accounts confirmed to you in writing by the house. We will never ask for your passwords, one-time codes or card numbers by message.
If you receive a request for payment that seems unusual, or that claims to come from Ruby Jewellers through an unfamiliar number or account, do not pay. Call +92 42 35742815 to check first. The house is not responsible for payments made to accounts it has not confirmed in writing.
Designs and intellectual property
All original designs by Ruby Jewellers, including sketches, CAD models and physical samples, remain the property of Ruby Jewellers unless a written assignment of rights is agreed. The Ruby name, imagery, writing, photography and visual identity on this website may not be reproduced or used commercially without written permission. You may view and share pages for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Your submissions and reference images
Reference images you share for your own commission are used only to make your piece and remain yours; by sharing them you confirm you have the right to use them. Please do not send material that belongs to someone else without their permission.
Ruby Jewellers may decline to copy another maker's protected design, and any piece made by the house remains subject to its own design rights as set out above.
Links to other websites
This website links to other sites and services, such as FortuNorth, map services and Instagram. They are run by others under their own terms, and Ruby Jewellers is not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.
Availability of the website
We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error free or free of harmful components, or that every detail on it is current at every moment. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.
Liability and indemnity
Ruby Jewellers is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of this website. Our liability for any claim about a custom order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or your rights under the Punjab Consumer Protection Act 2005.
If you misuse this website or its forms, or send material you do not have the right to share, you agree to compensate Ruby Jewellers for any loss, claim or reasonable costs that result.
Events beyond our control
The house is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, civil disturbance, government action, strikes, utility or internet failures, or disruption to the supply of gold or stones. We will tell you as soon as we can and agree a revised timeline with you.
The whole agreement
These terms, together with our Privacy notice, govern your use of this website. For a specific order, your written order confirmation, and your invoice or receipt, also apply; if they differ from these terms, the order confirmation prevails for that order.
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A delay in enforcing any part of these terms is not a waiver of it.
Governing law and disputes
If something has gone wrong, please contact the house first by telephone, email or at either house, and we will work with you to put it right.
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Lahore, Punjab, without affecting any right you have to approach a consumer court under the Punjab Consumer Protection Act 2005.
