Caring for Fine Jewellery
The most meaningful jewels are expected to outlive the moment they were chosen for. Care begins with knowing when to wear, clean, inspect and rest them.Prepared and reviewed by the Ruby Jewellers house team in Lahore · Updated 28 July 2026Before wearing
Put jewellery on after fragrance, cosmetics and hair products. Check that clasps close cleanly and that no prong catches against a fine fabric. A moment of attention prevents years of avoidable wear.
After wearing
Wipe the piece with a clean, soft cloth and store it separately. Diamonds can mark softer stones and polished gold can be scratched by another jewel, even within the same case.
Return to the house
Jewellery worn often should be inspected periodically for loosened settings, stretched links and closures that no longer feel decisive. Ruby welcomes pieces back for assessment, cleaning and a conversation about their future.
